Engine Rebuild Help
Hey Guys.
I just pulled the engine out of my car this past weekend. Did a compression test and cylinder #3 was about 30lbs low. So I'm thinking piston ring. How hard is it to pull apart to replace the rings and do I need anything other then the rings and a gasket set?
Thanks.

If you dont want future issues you need: valve cover gasket, exhuast gasket, head gasket, intake manifold gasket, I would recommend doing thermostat and gasket, have the head inspected and resurfaced or deck if needed. Hone the cylinders have the block inspected, new rod bearings, new cam bearings, main bearings. Have the pistons inspected and piston to wall clearance checked. The bkock will need resurfaced or decked. Dezod or Ptuning are good sources to get parts from.
