It isa "limited edition" ... 1141 of 1700

Wash it when it gets dirty. The build date (month and year) is printed at the top of the black sticker located on the driver's side door jam.

Scions must be pampered, you should be washing your car at least once a week. J/K

Wash it when it gets dirty or should I say dirty to you. I do actually try to wash my box once per week, but that's just me and about 90% of the other SL members.

Clear-coat curing??? They wash the cars constantly at dealerships so that ship has sailed. I think this is a joke. HA HA

Being a manager of a detail shop at a big car wash franchise, I take great pride of my baby and wash and detail her out every day of the week. She's so spoiled... But, at the moment she's sick because today she got hit by a flying rock from a dump truck and cracked her windshield. And to think, she hasn't even had her first month's birthday yet....

Oh yea, also having a degree in Automotive Collision Repair and working in shops in the past, its safe to say, that if whoever paints your car, if they use a Spray Bake system (meaning the paint booth has built in heaters), which most do anyways, you can safely wash your car the next day because the heaters cure the paint and the clear right then. However, its buffing your car you have to wait atleast 3 months to do after getting a fresh paint job.

factory paint jobs can be washed immediately due to the high temperatures they bake it in.

When I had my wreck, I went to a top notch place and they said to wait a month before polishing or waxing, and that I could wash immediately (not needed since they gave it a great detail) Since all of our cars take no less than a month to arrive, I wouldn't be worried.

Well, my dealer did such a *wonderful* job detailing my car when I got it that I'm still trying to clean off the mess they made of the inside... I washed my car at 1 week and clayed, polished and waxed at 2 weeks. Just discovered how many bugs the xA can collect at freeway speeds. Now I need to clean that mess off...

Try owning an xB in the summer. I drove through bugstown earlier this evening. It sucks when you can hear them hit every few seconds and you know you got another half hour to go.

yeah, being in the midwest as well i get this a lot too... almost as if its raining bugs... ewww...

today was my big detail day... i found bugs everywhere from my trip up to toledo to see my g/f. i even found bugs lodged in random places underneath the hood. not to mention the gigantic horsefly that decapitated itself on my windshield wiper arm, splattering all the hell over my windshield! argh!

I would love to wash the thing that often, but I get too meticulous and take an hour or so detailing...

I hope I can keep my "outside" cleaning scedule to the same as with my old car, I hose the morning dew off almost every day because I don't like the windshield wiper streaks, and I washed it 3 times in 11 years, that's it. Does that help?
