Went to the Formula Drift Long Beach Round One event today to represent Air-Runner in their booth. Had a blast watching the races and seeing some awesome cars.
Scion brought out a few rides too...
The iQ
tC
And the soon to be released FR-S
They also had the Cartel build FR-S
Oh, and there were some models there too...

A huge Thank You to Pecca Leather, the newest sponsor for Haolebuilt II. They used my iQ for two weeks to do the R&D on leather seat covers. The work is being completed and soon they will be available for your iQ as well. Here is the prototype in my iQ. Black leather outside and bone leather inserts. I'm very impressed with the quality and workmanship of these seats.

I installed my front camera today from Eric and the guys at Beat-Sonic USA. It is designed to be mounted to the license plate frame but I modified mine allowing me to install it on the lower front grill.
I have a switch module that will allow me to go back and forth between the cameras but I didn't have time to install that today. I'll post up more pics when I get that completed.
Here is what the camera looks like on the iQ...
The view on the Navi from the front camera...
The view on the Navi from the rear camera...
Thanks again to Eric and the guys at Beat-Sonic USA. This will come in handy when I'm riding low and have to park up against a concrete bump.

A huge thank you to Neil, Sergio and Leo at Classic Soft Trim for the new sunroof in the iQ.
An amazing company and outstanding personnel. From scheduling to installation to delivery the project was nothing but easy.
The sunroof will open all the way or stop at any position you choose. It vents and has a factory colored sunshade. The operation is quiet and smooth. There was no cavitation even at speed on the freeway. A really cool feature is that it closes automatically when the ignition is turned off.

I haven't been around for a bit but your iq is looking amazing taz! I actually just traded my xB for a Hot Lava iQ. It's still on the boat from Japan! Can't wait for it to get in! No plans for it though. Just need.OT to be reliable.

I wonder why they didnt do the iQ rear head rests like the xDs rear head rests? would have made more sense if they over lapped with the back seat when all the way down. Then you wouldnt have to remove them when the seats went down.
sunroof looks awesome, btw.

I think the main reason is the coverage for the rear passengers from the back window. If the headrests went all the way down to the seat they would be even bigger than they are! LOL

I just mean when they aren't extended they would overlap the seat. On the xD they actually overlap when collapsed, and can still be extended up when there are passengers in the rear. It helps to not block the small rear window.
Just figured they would have done the same here.

I changed the power source for my power port (cigarette lighter) on the iQ. It bugs me when I have to turn on the ignition to charge my cell phone.
Easy job, I cut the power lead to the power port and spliced a new wire. I ran the new wire to a constant power source and added a 7 amp in-line fuse as well.
Now I don't have to turn on the ignition to charge my cell phone.
Some pictures of how it's done...

I tried out my new door rods from WAK Shop today. We use them at car shows when we want to leave the door open but not allow people to enter the vehicle. They are made well and powder coated white to match the iQ. Nice fitment and they will come in handy.
