Wheel bearing blues

Wheel bearing blues
I'm in the process ,LOL, of changing out my rear wheel bearings. A guy on YT suggested the bolt technique. There are nuts on the backside but funnily enough they didn't work for him and me either. So instead of renting a slide hammer I decided to bolt a chain to the hub and one of my 25lb plates. Maybe 10 good yanks later the hub and the backing plate flew off the car and broke the hard line coming off the wheel cylinder. I saw on here it happened to someone else and the line is a semi special part.
Anyways Breaking the line sucks but if anyone has to change their bearings using the chain and weight was really easy. I was bashing it with a hammer, the bolts, chiseling for maybe 2 hours but only like a few minutes with the weight.

The drivers side was giving me way more trouble and I decided to re try the bolts. Instead of getting the full threaded bolts that aren't as strong I got several 1/2x2.5" grade 8 bolts and some 5/8 nuts to use as spacers. These better bolts worked way better.
