Machine Shop Recommendations
Ok need some help here. I'm looking to have my block honed and over-bored but I'm having a hard time finding a machine shop to do it. I know lots of places can do it but I want to find one that will use an actual torque plate when doing it so that it is done under the same stresses that the block will see when put together.
Any recommendations?

I had my EVO 8 rebuilt and after 1200 miles it tore itself apart. When they installed the counter bushing, they used a screwdriver to pound it in. It spun and pumped debris all through. And the bores weren't honed right. Just saying!
This pic is what RRE found when they opened it.

And that's the rub right there. I found a shop that I trust but they were honest enough to say that they don't have the right torque plate for the engine, and they won't hone and bore then engine without it. I've got to check around some more and find a good place.

For what you're saying to work, you'd have to take it back to someone that you already know is an idiot and screwed it up in the first place...does that really make since to you? When I went to pick it up, I had them put it on a lift so I could look at it and saw that they had broken the lower timing cover and were trying to give it to me like that. That's why God invented lawyers.

Sometimes I even wonder myself.
I think what I was trying to say is...Lawyers are for times that you can't legally enforce your own justice (like when you pay to have something repaired but it's worse after the repair), not to run our country, they tend to hide important things from us, you know, paper trails and emails.

Here's why I asked what you were talking about. I never brought anything about lawyers; you did. And then like argued with yourself about lawyers. I wasn't even involved in anything you were saying. So I didn't know why you kept at it.
