Spring Installation on Scion xB
#361
dam the 72245s are like 30 dollars more than the 71575 =[ btw, i'm just wondering what happens if you switched the front and back springs? back springs on front struts and front springs on the rears. would it even fit and would it be ride-able?
#362
I don't think they would fit because the diameter of the last coil is different, so the would not fit in the retaining cups.
#364
they reccomend to change after 60k, but it depends how u use your car and driving conditions.
#365
echo monroes are good, and if you search forums u can find full set for $120-150 brand new
koni are superior choice and adjusable(stiffer/softer), but they run ~$500 for set

bumps. i know that most rides become bumpy after changing springs. i changed the shocks and it has became less bumpy in the back. is it the same for the struts too? if i change the struts to monroe sensatrak the ride will be much smoother am i correct?

What happened to the pictures?
What is with the micro sized pictures with this write up? I swear that when I first read this last year, the photos were large & therefore very helpful.
Now, you basically have to rely on the written instructions. You cannot even go to the picture source and enlarge, as you just wind up with a blur. BOOOO!
I am doing my install today and wish I had some good photos to work from.

Glad I bumped into this write-up. Besides the photos, it's a in-depth tutorial on springs installation and I'll be sure to pass it along to my friend. He recently purchased these springs off ebay. Haven't read the reviews on the springs but I'm sure he'll be happy to save money on installation.
