Default The "I AM GETTING / HAVE A NEW tC!!" Thread

Copying another xB forum thing here... but it's a good idea.

This is for you new people to say "hi" and express your joy and such for your new car. Or to say "guess what?! i'm getting a tc!"

I'll be locking new people threads like that and directing all of you here. So if you just got a tC and want to be welcomed into the forum - this is the place. No need for a new thread.

Some useful tC threads and info on the forums - for tC people!

- The Forum Rules
- Scionlife Search Page
- Scionlife Tech/DIY Section
- Where to Post Your Question
- Maximizing Your Benefits from Scionlife
- tC Pics Threads

- RS 2.0 tC Roll Call
- RS 3.0 tC Roll Call
- tC Quick Suspension FAQ

- The tC iPod Thread
- The tC Short Throw Shifter Thread

Also be sure to check out the other stickied threads in the tC Owners Lounge and throughout the forums. There is a lot of info if you're willing to actually look for it.

That all said.. "welcome to scionlife - enjoy your stay."

Sweet. I guess I can be the first reply... I've been wanting to get a tC for a while now, probably because I miss my Celica.... Anyway, my Nautical Blue 5 speed is on its way. Now I just have to be patient until it gets here.

My girlfriend actually had a Celica before she got her tC. She misses it sometimes too but she's more than happy with her tC. I'm sure you will be too.

Welcome!

Hey, thanks for lookin' out! I ordered mine about a month and a half ago and it is on a boat from Japan right now!! I already have a VIN and I can't wait to get my grubby little rat claws on it...I have too much time at work so I already put together an excel file with all my mods, prices, where I have the hook up, etc...

i just got mine 2 days ago...haven't had a good sunny day to get good pics but i'll have them soon. i got an 06 nautical blue tc. previous car was a mazdaspeed protege. loved the car but it had too many silly problems that i didn't feel like dealing with anymore. considered buying a civic si but 23000 for nav and sticky tires and nothing else. just didn't want to pay that. paid 19 for the tc with plenty of options and i'm loving every minute of it. i'm much happier than i ever was with the MSP.

TANTALIZEDMIND, did you get every possible factory option? b/c it looks really nice pieced together. You should have added the TRD springs b/c that would have put the icing on the cake.

Haha, close. Glad you like it. I'm installing the TRD Springs, 35% Tint, and TRD CAI this summer. Should be a pretty sweet ride by then.

Here's my tC - pretty much stock, but I got some new lights (head and fog) and a few other things on order. Just put a DrIsotope engine bay cover on...
Tint this weekend or next - still looking for a good shop nearby.

I just got my SW TC on Monday after a month of waiting Already got a few compliments and comments like "What car is that?" The best one is from Geico when I asked for a quote, the girl on the phone ask "Huh, what's that? Scion? How do you spell that?" Must have been her first day.

Just got my super white tc on 01/13/05 and have 400 miles on it. What I was worried about was how many miles per gallon i would get. I already filled up once on my very first tank I got 27 miles per gallon. I was actually expecting less. I love this car so far...

I got it with one mile and when I filled up I had 352 miles and filled up with 13 gallons you do the math 351 miles % 13 gallons= 27 miles per gallon does that sound about righ??????????????????????

Its funny how my wife has the Xa and I got the Tc, NOW she wants to trade.....

congrats everyone on buying or soon to be buying a tC they sure are fun cars Should wash the car before showing pictures of it...bet it would look alot better. And still everytime I see the TYC lights I think they are ugly especially when they arent tinted, moralletti911 did a fine job on his rear lights makes them look better. IMO Do you plan on tinting yours?
