Default Picking up my 06 Scion tC Sat.....New to the Scion family :)

Hello everyone. I'm picking up my Scion tC Saturday morning from the dealer. I bought a 06 super white standard of corse. So I guess I'm new to the family. I used to have an 88 Corvette and I sold that for my Porsche 944 with some change to spare and I figured I'd go Japanese for a litte because I needed a reliable but still great looking car to go back and forth to work in. Hence my new Scion tC. I don't plan to mod the car besides simple little upgrades and cosmetics. I was going to start first with the axle back exhaust from Precision Muffler. Has anyone heard good or bad things about this exhaust? I listened to its tone off of a movie on one of your posts and it has the exact sound I'm looking for. I believe the tC in the movie had the headers as well but that will come in time. My only concern is warranty issues. Besides the exhaust I plan on adding wheels and an intake system to the car along with any other necessities that I like. I don’t want to go to crazy because like I said this is a daily driver and some mods may need to come off for the winter months. I'll post some pictures sometime soon when the car isn't bone stock.

Just bought my '06 AP tC on the 7th, now at 604 miles. Found ScionLife about a week ago, and this certainly looks like the place to be! :D

Got the TRD sprinigs installed as the only option, will likely get the TRD rear anti-roll bar too, and can't wait to swap out the front tires for some sticky rubber. Don't plan on any other mods, as the performance is acceptable (considering no LSD) and I prefer the clean base look.

See ya around the forums...

Thanks, man! Really good to find others here that are outside the Scion target market, sure don't want to be the only "old fart" in a forum.

Welcome again, we old farts have to stick together to keep the kids from ganging up on us

Guess I'll post up as I just picked up my tC last thursday. It's azure pearl, auto, factory add-ons were iPod radio, blue LEDs, fog lights, and lip spoiler. So far got about 225 miles on it and it's a great ride. Quite a bit different from my previous car (01.5 Audi S4) but it's a lot cheaper on insurance, and saves a lot on gas. So far so good.

Wow... that's a big hit, giving up an S4 for a tC. But ya, insurance and gas difference might pay for the tC.

Finally... Got my VIN today and the car should be here next Wednesday.... Whole lot easier to wait when you have at least a tentative date.....

My new tC, BCP. Picked up on Monday, tinted with 5% on Tuesday. I ordered the interor lights from superbrightled and will replace those next week.
You can check it out at http://myweb.cableone.net/pedsnrs since I don;t know how or don't have access to post pics on here.
Thanks,

Thanks. I am pretty happy with it so far. I had a 2000 Ford Tarus, so this is quite a change for me.
