I used to play, only til the mirrodin block. I don't have those uber expesive/rare cards, tho...

MTG is a very nice hobby/pastime...

I just played with my friend last weekend and my Affinity-Broodstar deck and wiped his type 2 deck. LOL!

But when he put out his type 1, I got my @$$ kicked.

I used to have a zombie deck too and it kicks butt. It was the Scion of Darkness/dark supplicant/rotlung reanimator/grave pact/oversold cemetery combo deck. LOL!

I played when it first came out. I had a ton of alpha and beta cards, played up until 6th gen. Really lost interest when the fallen empire expansion set came out. Still think i have a complete set of the dark expansion cards. But would have to find them, and not in bay area.

I really hate it when a powerful card gets reprinted and becomes type 2. Then they'll print a card that will be able to weaken or counter that card, thus, making it pricey.

I dont have the alpha or beta anymore. i kept the dark set cause i put a lot of effort in opening packs/boxes to get a complete set. I might have to look into selling them.......

the only card worth any money in that set is the ball lightning which is about $18 +/-

Still the one card for me is the Black Lotus.
