Default Vsc/Trac-Off/Cel - New problem?

So the first thing i did was search, i found plenty of threads saying that all the lights on could be the CAI, or the VVTI, or the Cam gear sensor. But ive never heard anything about the problem to go with all the lights on. I went to drive the car around the block, and it seems to be limited at 3000 rpms. Has anyone else had this problem? It also idles rough for 30 or so seconds before going back to a normal idle.

I've read through a bunch of threads and they dont really help. If possible, how do you reset the ECU? i read on one of the threads this could be the fix, but i couldnt find how to do it. Any help would be appreciated!

This all happened after i put a system in my roomates car. I've thoroughly checked everything on my end, and i cant figure out why all the lights would just come on.

it has nothing to do with your system, its one of those three mentioned most likely its the VVTI Cam sensor, you should take it to the dealer or your local auto zone and have the ECU looked at

Befor you make any assumptions as to what the problem is, get the DTC. Also any time you get a CEL your VSC/TRAC light will also come on.

You can find the method of resetting the ECU in the Tech section:

It was the MAF, we found one of our friends, that had a brother that had an echo LOL.. we brought his car over, changed the MAF, and reset the car with the battery. and it worked just fine!

First, find out what code you car is sending. Many auto supply stores will read the code for you for free. (Or may you or a friend have a ScanGuage or other code OBDII code drader.)

The rough idle and especially the 3000 RPM limitation indicates your vehicle is in "limp home" or "fail safe" mode due to a code.
