dealer quoted me 8-12 weeks for my 5-speed flint mica w/ side airbag comes. on my 5th week.
i was looking at ordering floor mats, but my friend said that all new cars come with some type of floormats. is this true? i had the impression that you had to buy mats.
if we need to buy our own, what kind of mats do you guys have? im looking into getting the weathertech rubber ones since this car is going to be in all four seasons.
If you don't order floor mats, you don't get any. That's how it works. My car came absolutely stock with no mats or anything. I couldn't see myself driving my new car home without any floor mats, so I bought a set from the dealer.
If you don't get floor mats, maybe you can get some service paper so you don't mess up the carpet.

do other car's come with standard carpet mats for free? i was on the acura website building a rxs, and the option they had for mats was only the all season rubber ones. so im guessing they give the carpet ones for free?

Some cars come with mats free, not to many though.
according to 2 dealership in my area, both said that the mats comes from factory... and must be purchased, so thats $145 added to the msrp. For some reason I didn't get charged for it so I got lucky
I just bought a pair of black mats for $24.99 from Wallmart, then custom-fitted each for driver's passenger's side. You'd never know they were generic ... Cheers.

Did that same thing, I think I got the same as you, are they the half rubber/half carpet ones with some lines you can cut so they go around the driver's dead pedal?
I got some matching clear mats to go over the carpet ones as well.
i got lucky. i took the mats out of a matrix we had lying around. the driver's mat fits almost exact except for the holes don't line up to the little plastic clips.
and one of the rears fits perfect. the other rear is too small, and the passenger front does okay if i flip it upside down.
so they are slightly tacky, but they were free. so hell yea. if they get really ____ty i'll make some cool ones.

I had black wal mart carpets from my old car that I just moved over into the tC. It was a while ago but I'm thinking they only costed me about $20 or less.
My mats were already included with my tC. I would recommend not getting with your tC purchase and then buying through McGeorges which is cheaper. I like the mats as they have two holes which hook into the floor so the driver's mat does NOT move. I have not had any luck with Walmart/cheap mats as they slide all over the place.
I did spend some money on rubber mats for my Highlander and they are very nice. I did see something on Ebay about aluminum mats but not sure what they do other than have an aluminum color.
