So I get this clinking that quickly turned into a thumping whenever I turn to the left. In my past this has usually lead me to a cv joint so I dropped it off at the dealer tonight. Any one else have this problem? Its an o7 on hotchkis springs and I know they are gonna claim thats related but this cars only got 13000 miles and maybe 3k on the springs. Any ideas?

 

Ya, they will likely pin it on the springs, so you might be shelling out some $. Unless your dealer is cool and not retarded.

Sounds like a good possibility to be the problem, but I don't think I've heard of hardly any of these going bad yet. So who knows.

O.K. so one of my rear tires the lug nuts started to loosen. So I at least got my first free oil change since I was there!

 

Sure sounds like a CV joint- I had one go bad on me in a 95 ford escort, and it got worse and worse...

 

Wow... that's odd. Had you taken any of them off recently? Or is it just kind of a random occurance?
