Default HELP PLEASE WITH HEAD UNIT

what all do you have to remove from the HVAC dask piece in order to have it fit with a single din dvd with a cubby hole below it. i know you have to take off the door but i cannot get the HVAC dash piece to fit back on.

What kind of a cubby hole are you putting in there? Is it interfering with the HVAC or something? Generally I'd think that the HVAC piece shouldn't be affected by the stereo section at all (except that you have to take it all off together.

Make sure the face of it is setting back far enough. If not, you need to do some drilling work on the bracket so that the HVAC will snap in and possibly the door will close also.

alright so i bought the unit used and apparently i need a metal sleeve to go around it in order to connect it to the new Scosche cubby hole that i bought. i try to put my HVAC back in and the bottom part doesnt go in all the way because the head unit with the cubby hole will not fit thru the hole. I had to take off the door and another piece from my HVAC in order for my HVAC to go back on all the way. now i have a 1/2 inch gap allt he way around
