Default Question: Scion Alarm TVIP v5

I was looking at the alarm that trd sparks has listed on their site. I assume it is the same as the factory option alarm and most other toyota alarms. Does anyone know if it has starter disable with it? Ken from sparks didn't really know for sure. I have read in some places that it does, but I would like to make sure. Any with a factory alarm that can verify this?

I don't know for sure, but people with the alarm for the classic xB were disappointed. that alarm didn't include moion/vibration/shock detection, and was reportedly easily bypassable.

If there's one thing that's always going to be better aftermarket, it may be a security system.

I just received the PT398-52081 security system from TRD Sparks this past week.

The "Owner's Guide" states:

"Starter Disable: When the Alarm is Triggered, the system disables the vehicle's starter and prevents engine start until the system is reset (Disarmed).

So, it looks like the answer to your question is "yes".
