Default help - boost gauge mishap

well i was installing my boost gauge and trying to splice the cig light wire to light the backlight. i ended up letting the splice touch the outer housing of the HU and blew the fuse. i replaced it with a 20v spare and checked it again, now no juice runs to the cig lighter at all. can anyone help me troubleshoot this problem?

damn u musta fried the wire somewhere. u can take one of those 12v light pen testers and poke the wire from end of the wire where it connects to the fusebox to the other end to see where there is no more power. once u get to the part where there is no more juice just cut and reconnect it with buttconnectors or solder it which would be better.

if that don't work i would just rewire the positive wire of the cigarette lighter to the red accessory wire that connects to the radio. it will work the same as before. it will only come on when the key is on the acc position.
