Are they worht it? How much of a drop do the springs give you? looking to just get my xB lowered once it gets in stock until I have the cash for my other surprise. Hit me back need to know soon thanks to all who can help

the TRD springs lower it 1". The struts might make it handle better, but wont get it any lower.

I had trd springs.....but then i got tanabe springs...the 1" drop from the trds' wasn't doing it for me..so go with different springs.

you may want to consider coil overs if you are thinking about replacing the strut anyway.

Randy, what exactly are coilovers, and why would a person put them on instead of springs?

a coilover is a shock with a coil around the outside. the shocks are usually adjustable and also the spring is adjustable so that you can fine tune the ride height, and the dampening. this is a coilover

this is a strut and conventional coil spring

So if you use coilovers, then there are no springs on the car? It sounds like somewhere there will be an open space where something used to sit? Where are they installed too?

i got the trd springs... randy installed them :D
it definately feels better driving now and it is slightly lower. i just put on the trd 18" wheels (racing harts) and it looks like i definatly need more of a drop, maybe 2" now that i look at it, unless the springs settle down at least 1/4-1/2" more. they're really nice springs, rides really smooth and you don't got to worry about scraping.. that's for sure, it still looks like stock height almost though, 1" isn't much of a change now that i look at it.

i was looking in the store and saw the cusco coilovers does anyone have them? if so hows the ride. can they really drop box 3.3in?

the coilover has a spring, but its smaller in diameter than the stock spring, this can give more clearance for wider wheels. Most people use coilovers for the adjustability factor.

how long does it usually take for the springs to settle? i hope it gets a little bit lower than what its at, the tires on these rims are so slim that it looks funky with the car not being lower than it is.

they usually take about a week to settle.

Where do they go? Do you have any install or underbody pics that show coilovers?

look at that picture he had above... its got a small coil going around it, it's the same as you'd have with getting lowering springs, just that it's adjustable... its just that when you want to adjust them you gotta take the wheel off to get to them. if you're not going to mess with the suspension alot then you should probably just get lowering springs... coilovers are a little more rough on the ride, kinda stiff and bumpy

Hmm, I would like to have wider tires, I have 275/40/17's on the Mustang right now. But You are right, I don't want the hassle of taking tires, off, and I don't think I would do much adjusting. Why would I keep making adjustments?

iunno, if you want it lower or higher? to fine tune the height? you may buy 2" springs and it may rub, with coilovers you could adjust it a little less than 2" so it wouldn't rub. you should probably just get lowering springs and save your money for something else if you're not going to be messing with the ride height once it's set.

Coilovers are the ____. Adjustable ride height. Most have adjustable dampers. Slammed for show. Slight rake for race. Off roading? You got it. + coils are just baller. Not that that matters.
