Well my car has 36,400. So I am now off basic warranty. Let this be my biggest problem! lol

I was washing/waxing today and noticed that my grille on the upper right hand side is pushed in. The left side is nice and secure, but there is a lot of play on the upper right hand side. Here is a picture of it (sorry for it being on an angle, it is in the garage and I couldn't really get a comfortable angle):

Any advice on how to fix that up or is it broken? (I have trouble accessing the back of it because I have a doc I's radiator plate on blocking my view from the back.

My grille got pushed in this past weekend when I hit a tire on the highway (

). I really just pushed it back into place and it still feels secure. Seemed like it just kind of popped out of it's mounts or something. I did have to take off my radiator panel to get to it though.

Your situation might be a little different, but it would definitely be worth the couple minutes to take the panel off and try it.

Alright, I'll give it a shot. I forget how to take the panel off quite honestly though, I got it from Doc I such a long time ago. I hope that none of the clips break by taking it off!

Depends on which version you have. If you have the newer one, it's just 3 pop clips and you need a flat head screwdriver - that's it. If you have the old version, I think you'll need a flat head as well as a 10mm or 12mm socket to get the radiator mount bolts off. Easy still either way.

And if you still have the old one, check out doc's website... he has an "exchange program" for the new ones.

Good info ack. I actually have the new one, so i'll pop that off and hope that my grille fits back into place nicely! I'll let you all know, I'll give it a shot today

That was easy. That took me all of 10 minutes. I took off doc I's plate which couldn't have been easier. Popped the grille back into place and replaced the doc I plate which again, couldn't have been easier. Kudos to the doc for making such an easily plate to assemble, disassemble, and reassemble.

i would've taken my fingers.. stuck them in the grille.. and yanked outwards, applying pressure to the bumper itself if necessary.

that happened to me and i used pliers and yanked it back into place... just used vuice grips and a paper towel and it left no marks and worked perfectly!

I couldn't get enough force yanking it from the outside. I was concerned that using tools would/could break something and/or damage something. I have learned that it is better to do it the right way than to take a shortcut with more risk.
