Ok so I was down at the shop where I got my first 12 inch sub and complete stereo system at. Talked to the guy about potentially adding a second 12 and he said he could do it for $350 installed. I also talked to a guy down at HP Auto near where I live and they can do Eibach Prokit springs for $339.
I have one soundstream T4 12" sub now, and I could get another one, with a 3000 watt amp to power them.
totally agree...never get parts from shops unless your sponsered..... otherwise hit of ebay or one of the million other sites...if they are charging $350 for that sub id venture to guess that you could get one for like $200 or cheaper....as per the springs...ebay, or specials on here.... save your money and buy things at a discount!

I have a connection at the stereo shop. I paid a grand for a system that usually goes for around $2500 to $3000. I'm definitely not getting ripped off on the sub I know that much.
That doesn't answer the question of why you need another sub. I've heard of SoundStream before and I'm pretty sure they make a quality speaker. It's not like you have a Dual sub that isn't doing the job.
Have you deadened your car?

No not yet, I never really considered it because the setup I have now doesn't really hit insanely hard so there is almost no rattle anywhere at the moment. I would likely consider it though adding another sub...

Deadening your car improved bass response as well as your sound as a whole. It also lowers road noise considerably. It'ld be well worth it as I'm sure you have plenty of bass. What speakers and head unit are you running?

$350 for a 12" sub isn't too much. My Stereo Integrity Magnum D2 costs around that

Alright the verdict is in. I didnt realize the T4 was discontinued, so the stereo place didnt have anymore. Talked the guy into another deal however. For $400, fifty more dollars, I'm getting two new Soundstream T5 12" subs in a dual ported box, and a 2000 watt amp, all installed with tax.
First off it's not a 2000W amp, if they're telling you it is...then well I would have very little confidence in them. I've never heard of Powerbass and there's very little info out there about them. So that tells me that it's probably a pretty low quality brand...hence their low prices.
They're trying to sell you on numbers, not facts. The price they're giving you isn't bad in all honesty. The subs are normally $200 each and the amp is $200 as well...that's $600 right there.
# SPECIFICATIONS:
* Power Output @ 14.4 VDC Input
* 4-Ohm RMS at THD 0.5% : 250W x 1
* 2-Ohm RMS at THD 0.5% : 500W
* 1-Ohm RMS at THD 0.5% : 1000W
* Signal-to-Noise Ratio : >80dB
* Frequency Response : 20Hz-250Hz+1dB
* Low-Pass Filter : 50Hz-150Hz
* Crossover Slope : 12dB Octave
* Sub-Sonic Filter : 15Hz-50Hz
* Bass EQ at 40Hz : 0-18dB
* Input Gain Control : 0.5V-4.0V
* Low-Level Input Impedance : 22k Ohms
* Damping Factor : >150 into 4-Ohms
* Fuse Ratings / ATC Style : 3 x 40 A
* Dimensions (WxHxL) : 11.35"(288mm) x 1.92"(49mm) x 13.75"(350mm)
But once again...is the bass you have now seriously not enough? If it really isn't...why not go the quality vs quantity route? Something like an Infinity Kappa Perfect 12" with some nice clean power running to it would probably sound a lot better and still be able to be too loud
