painting suggestions....
I wanna paint my engine cover and some of the other plastic covers in the engine bay, AC *****, I've seen someone else's xB with it all done red on here...but anyways I wanted to know what paint do I have to use on plastics? and also what paint on metals? Or what paint is everyone using for these types of things? Also I'm thinking about painting my wheel covers chrome or a better silver. I dont have money for rims so I might as well make my xB stand out a little more. Let me know. Thanks guys & girls! :D

or.... option B: Spend the little extra money, buy the color auto paint you want and have a paint shop prep and professionally spray all the parts for you (if you can't youself). The finish will be far more durable, better looking up close and the color match will be a million times better.
There are a few guys that are "ok" with rattle can - but it still will never come close to what can be done with some qaulity auto paint and a HVLP gun.
go the professional route - you'd be much happier - if you must do it yourself, just know that once you paint the factory plastic peices - they're pretty much toast as far as being able to have them resprayed later and still look at all decent - it's never quite the same after you layed some heavy rattle can paint on them.

If you have to ask, it's probably a little too much to tackle on your first try. I had my bug shield and bike faring painted by my shop for almost nothing, and they look great. Walk into a couple of shops real excited about your idea, but still humble enough to let them know that you want to have the 'right shop' helping you out. Flattery works, once they know you are in a car club that does this a lot and your constituants need this work done too, they'll probably do it cheap. On the day they say it will be done, walk in with a dozen donuts at 9am, hoping it isn't done yet. Stop back at 12 noon to pick it up and pay, YOUR SET!
Everything but the two pieces above and my vinyl were all done by myself, I'm pretty handy, but I know when I'm over my head. Check out my ride below
