I just went to local aftermarket shop and popped the bulb out. Then went inside and got a replacement. Did it all in parking lot since it was really easy. Took all of like 2minutes to take out and put new one in.

oh yeah, i forgot to mention that any color(other than amber) might be illegal. you will have to check local laws for this.

i installed super whites on mines.

blue or red bulbs anywhere on your car would be asking for trouble.

Red on the front, that is. Otherwise, I better take my tails out real fast.

the bulbs i used for the lights are a 194 apc blue bulb, i also changed the front turn signals from amber to blue and have had no problems with the law
they look very blue during the day and at night they look pale blue to bright white
about $14.00 for both sets of lights

remember keep your old lights in the cargo spot in the trunk if you get pulled over tell the cop you ll change them right now if he lets you off w/out a fix-it ticket
he doesnt want the paper work anyhow

it worked on my old car, but your right it could be worse in that case
just say you had them in case one burnt out, it all depends on the cop and why you were pulled over
oh ya, and take the writing out of the plastic that says "for show and off road use only"

No. Bad idea. HID has been beaten to death on this board. Do it right (OEM retrofit) or don't do it at all.

you'll only notice the color of the parking light if you stood right above your headlights or if you kept the lowbeams off. The light coming from the low beam will overpower anything from the parking light, I really doubt any cop would pull you over while you're driving for having blue parking lights because they are pretty well hidden. seems like their only function is making the front of the vehicle visible, it doesn't give off much light to be useful to the driver.

Oh... the most you can pay for 194 bulbs is about $25...which I got. a pair of PIAA led bulbs... total waste of money. but it's only $25... would had spent that money on burritos and booze anyway.

so its the parking light were talking about..those really dont make a huge difference, so im just replacing them with some 194 white LED bulbs from superlumenation just for a bit nicer look while low beams are off..not bad since its only a couple bucks.
