Exedy, I pretty much swear by that brand. For your needs you'd be fine with a Stage 1. As long as your break it in right you will be more than fine.
I ran an Exedy OEM replacement on my 240sx a few years back and I ragged and beat on that clutch like no other, never got over heated and slipped. I also had the rear diff welded. But I ran that clutch for 40k miles. Constant abuse every day, and after I sold the car the new owner learned to drive on it and got another 20k out of it before it began to slip a bit.
My friend with an FD ran a Stage 1 on his single turbo setup and he will not buy another brand. He just finished installing his Hyper Single Clutch kit. Car isn't running yet but he's excited.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking at an Exedy and fidanza flywheel. Definitely want something that will still be close to stock in smoothness of engagement, but hold under load.
Well I wouldn't go above a stage 1 then. After that you get into the 3 and 6 pucks which are much stiffer and are rough to engage. Here's a really good video that explains the main componments and clutch functions.
A friend of mine with a turbo tc is putting around those same numbers and is usint the act street clutch. Im putting around 235whp and im going to be running the same clutch. I don't think the exedy stage 1 will be sufficient for 275 but its up to you
We sell a lot of Spec and Clutchmasters for clutches for the TC and then Fidanza for the flywheel.

Competition Clutch, Purchase it from Dezod. End of story.
x2. i'm running a competition clutch stage 3. it's stiff but easy to engage. i honestly like it better than the stock clutch; it's smoother because you can actually feel the point of engagement. it's rated for about 375whp, too, so you could beat on it with 275whp without worries.
