I have the DC Sports header also. While I don't know how much if any gains in HP, there is defintely a noticable difference above 3,500 rpm.

I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in.

never got around to goin gto my buddy's dyno like i said i would - but never really needed to, it was an obvious small increase in throttle response/hp/torque - whatever wat you want to put it, as soon as it was installed. I've since replaced the entire system from filter to tip and have also driven a bone stock xB since doing that - and I'd forgetting what gains had been made. The 5spd (like mine) I took down the road was a total slug compared to mine. So yeah, there is a definate improvement

they were like 120 or 130 shipped. but can be found for as cheap as 115 shipped. they are stainless steel and was easy only 1 minor problem. i had to buy longer bolts to attache the header to teh exhaust.

I just bought a Megan Racing Header (Stainless steel) and should be coming in early next week. Be sure to post how installation goes as well as the different. I plan on recording an audio file of before the header install and after header install.

DC Header, like squirrel said above. The lag / bogg at 3500 is gone.

Has anyone dyno'd their xB with headers and exhaust on yet? I'm curious to see what kind of gains you're getting. Also, anyone seen any dyno sheets from xB's with the Blitz supercharger kit yet? I'm a total xB nooB here, but not new to modifying cars by any means.

Zach, I haven't dyno'd my xB since the header, but the change is noticable for the good. I know someone who has dyno'd an xB w/ Blitz SC, and the only gain was in torque. Why? Cuz the gain in horsepower was eatin' by the engine turning the pulley for the SC. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. BUT, I will have something shortly that should be just as good.

As soon as I get my new clutch in I am going directly to dyno, and I know that windowtint and rodney ray have no lag what so ever in their exhaust systems. Must be the limited edition exhaust systems they have. Nice!! DC all the way, I got it too and could not be happier.

It's aways good to reset the computer when you add mods to the car

Thanks for the input guys. Squirrel, he didn't get any gains in hp at all with the Blitz? If not then it looks like I'll just have to go turbo. I would rather go that way anyway. I have about 4 years experience working with turbo cars so I am decent with them. So out of the two companies that are mentioned in here with headers which one is favored, DC or Megan racing? Thanks in advance.

^ And how do you go about doing that??

I learned that when installing my ground wires, I reset my stereo settings...lol, and reset my trip meter.. (there goes my 2862mile jaunt from Sacramento-Atlanta)

But, what do you do?? just unplug the neg. batt. wire for like 10min and re-attach??

I may sound like a dumbass asking that.. but its a plausible question for others who want to know the answers as well :D

Thanks!

So, nobody has an answer yet as to which header is preferred? The DC or the Megan Racing??

Zach
