Default Just picked up my new 08 xB on Friday....

I have wanted a xB one for a while, but when filing up my SUV got to $90 a week. I finally pulled the trigger and bought it.

Nice, looking awseomse
I just buying mine today but

do you have the pics of your TRD rear bar.
dealer wants $390 installed or $250 if I install it myself. Can I see how easy/hard it would be to intsall it myself do you have a pic underneath it like from one to the other wheel?

Only $156 from TRDsparks:
http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...&parts_id=1566

It's really easy to install yourself; here are the instructions:

oh man thats cheap I am cancleing my TRD options then
thank you for bringing that site to my attention, the dealer is a rip off.
that rear sway bar is way to easy to install to ask $90+ for the install plus they want $250 w/out the install ridiculous.

Rear Bumper Applique: not that much cheaper, and it'll be installed and done
Rear Spoiler: you'll save $150, as long as you're willing to be the one putting a drill to your tailgate
Fog Lights: they'll take some time, but you can handle the install & save $100
Floor & Cargo Mats: it's only a $30 difference, and they'll be in the car from day one
Sport Steering Wheel: for the $50 extra I'd let them do this, you're dealing with an airbag here
Scion Security System: way too much money for what you get
Rear Sway Bar: save the money & put it on yourself
Strut Tie Bar: save the money & put it on yourself

Regarding the 5-Axis lip kit: you will still need to have it painted and installed, but should be less than $1350

You could print out the TRDsparks info, take it to the dealership with you, and see how much they will negotiate to earn your business on the accessories; this is where they make their biggest mark-up.

Nope, I lowered my comprehensive insurance deductible from $500 to $100 for an additional $40 per year instead.

What I really love about the xB, is its styling. I loved the 1st gen, and even though some don't like the 2nd gen, with its bigger size, bigger motor and more standard features than the last gen, it was an easy sale.

I know I could have bought all the stuff aftermarket, and put it on myself, but I just don't have the time anymore, and for me I just wanted to buy it and be done.

Plus I own toyota stock, and they took a dump last quarter. I just figure the profits at the dealership, will eventually help me in the end...lol

I must getting old, cause the ride with those wheels, springs and shocks is sometimes "bone rattling". It handles superbly for box with wheels, but i am hoping the ride will soften a little as time goes on.

I am amazed at the community around the whole Scion line, I have a lot of cars and belong to a couple of car clubs, but the Scion community has been by far the most welcoming.

kotik talk to your insurance company about the gap coverage. see if they offer it.

the only thing i bought was the glass lettering thing they offered that has a lettered code on the glass.

the 100k warrenty you have until 36k miles to get that. so up to you.

if you are going to get this
Interior: Floor and Cargo Mats (CF) $155
take a look at weather tech floor mats and cargo mats

can I still cancel those cargo mats since I already signed the papers?

I opt of of Glass lettering, you will still have that but there is some other stuff that you pay $350 so they can protect you etc.. I think its another BS in my book
