Default do you want to hear a magnaflow cat back?

I tried like heck to get a real sound sample of this exhaust on the web (b4 I bought one) and the things on the magnaflow website were weak. But I bought it regardless... based on the fact that a lot of significant owners also did that. Notably ifikon (thanks to all) or somebody like that. I digress. Anyway having no signicant wrenching under my belt, I did this install.. There was a tute on some other weird magnaflow site that has lots of pics, and that was excellent. I also used the scionlife tech demo on axleback that got me started. A local guy quoted me $619 installed. I did this myself for a lot less.......

This is a recording taken on a Canon ZR60 basically in the dark. I tried earlier recordings and I had no battery power. So deal....

I installed it , and it sounds really good. I need to make minor adjustment in that the rear clamp hits the heat shield intermittantly (but only in one stage of idle...weird?).

hear the recording of this at : http://www.callatg.com/~aerounit/

please and I repeat...PLEASE do not hotlink or nobody will hear this [/url]

Your exhaust sounds really nice bro! How's it sound up near redline? Just curious. Also, is that a cat back system or a muffler only? Thanks in advance.

The last time I was at redline was b4 I got married...and that was 13 years ago.
My last fast car was a 1987 Acura Legend Coupe that would blow everything away..I raced a 57 chev superr built and he beat me for about 1/8 and then that powerplant kicked in and he was history...

to answer your question...this is cat back

Not to worry tOiRb, the xB is going to be my reliable, gas saver, daily driver. For speed I have my RX-7. So far I'm stuck at 310whp with the stock turbine and IC. But I'm upgrading and going for 500whp. I built the engine myself and it's a full race port. But I don't want a completely stock xB, I'm sure you know where I'm coming from.

If anyone is looking at getting this, I haven't seen a price any lower than this:

Is Magnaflow the only company that is making cat-back exhaust right now? Did you had to do any cutting before the o2 sensor location. Is it pretty much a bolt on or cutting, welding, or clamping pipes.

There are a couple other manufacturers making cat-backs for the Scion at this time as well; as for ours, you can find a write up that Import Racer did by cliking the link below. As you can see, you'll have to locate the O2 sensor and just make one cut and then the rest is pretty simple.
