Default What color should I get?

If I get an xA soon, I'm trying to decide on the color. My favorite (by far) is the red. My local dealership has had a RS on the lot for over a month now, so I could get one if I wanted to. The problem is, I really don't want to shell out the extra $2,200 for the RS. I know that's a good deal for what's included, but I want to keep this as inexpensive as possible. He also has a black one, but there's already a black one in town. Plus, I don't care for how black shows every speck of dust or pollen on the car. My next choice would be the Phantom Gray. I like that color the best if I can't have red. I also like the silver and the white. I've seen a stock Indigo Ink, and I just thought it looked a little too much like a girl's color (no offense to any guys here who have that color). If I have to order the car, I may tell him to try for Phantom Gray first, but I'd take a Silver or White if they are available sooner. Hmmmmm......decisions.

LOL...Nothing at all. It's just a matter of personal taste I guess. I only saw the blue one time in person. It was at night and it just didn't "do it for me". Maybe with some nice rims or in different light, I'd like it. Got pics?

Wow! I stand corrected. That car is sharp! Very nice wheels. See, I may not spend the money to do aftermarket rims right away. Stock tires and wheel covers looked the least offensive to me on the Phantom Gray. Good job on the car.

Axiom That is a nice clean looking xA, What suspention are you riding on? What size wheels are they they fill the fender very nicely

I have a Phantom Grey xA but color is all up to you. I spent about 20 mins looking at the xA's on the lot. They dident have a black but i am not a fan of black cars.. they look good but damm keeping them clean sucks.

Have fun with the new car matt_a

phantom grey is nice. i think i would've bought that color myself, but when we bought it, the car had just been out for a week, i think. not sure... and the dealership mostly had white and blue from what i remember. i didn't even see the grey color til way later on. it made me sad.

but hey, i like my car. the color can always be changed.

the red was my first choice then the grey or silver. I wanted dark wheels so I am glad I chose Phantom, but the white is nice with wheels and tint also. The only reason I don't like blue is here in Vegas colors tend to fade a bit. I don't find any of the colors offensive.

If you want to be special then go with the red. I don't see other colors stands out at all(myself include), and now is 2005 already, the only way I can tell the year difference is the red color. Lots of people on the waiting list when they first came out, now you have a chance you better take it. I like the RS alot, $2200 for wheels, sunroof and spoiler is a pretty nice deal and you don't have to bother for those mods. Just lower it and you're be set. Mine is black, even in the garage for a couple days there's dust. I know the consequences for the black, but I didn't regret my decision at all and I love the xA. My choices are black/white/ red. Good luck.

I chose silver because:

* Black is too hot and shows every speck of dust. You gotta be bold to drive black.

* White is nice and cool but shows mud.

* Indigo and cherry are beautiful but just aren’t me.

* Red was not available yet.

* I've had a brown car, a black car, a red car, and a white car. Been there, done those.

* Phantom, well, it was a close call between phantom and silver. I like them both.

In the end I went with silver because it’s light (thus cool in the sun) but just dark enough to hide both dust and mud pretty well. After two big snows and lots of mud afterward this month, my xA is filthy. But from a distance it looks clean. The magic of silver.

Also, silver cars in general sell better. Not that I’m planning to sell mine.

One more thing. I like the contrast between a light-colored car and dark windows. Tint on a black car looks cool because everything is black. Tint with a medium color (phantom, blue, cherry) sort of muddles the colors, in my opinion.

Short answer: As Pink Floyd would say, “Any Colour You Like.”

I like silver too. The only reason I'm not getting that, is because the truck I'm about to sell is silver, and my wife's car is silver. I need a change. All things considered, it'll be the Phantom Gray.
