Default Remote Start for my XB

I just got done installing a remote start purchased from Wal-Mart
It's a Bulldog RS-82 and it only cost $44.84 +tax, It only took 2hrs and was a very simple install they said to just twist wiresand tape, but I went the extra bit and did it right soldering all the conections and it works great. It has a 400 ft range

This may sound like a silly question but I have never had remote start, actually this is my first car with power windows/locks...Anyway, my question, when you use the remote start do your car doors stay locked while the car is warming? I am thinking about doing this and I kinda need them to stay locked while the car is warming. Thanks in advance.

most remote starts leave the car locked while it is warming up.

I bought one of those months ago but have been too afraid to hack it into the wiring. I keep hoping they'll come out with a T-Harness like they have for most other models, but they haven't yet...

I believe he is talking about plug in connectors that you use with the standard connections so you don't have to cut/splice the wires.

I'm sure someone will correct or clarify my explanation if I'm wrong.

Instead of splicing the wires from the remote start into your igniton wiring, the T-Harness allows you to just unplug the harness, plug in the T-Harness (connects to male and female ends of the harness with the wiring spliced into these connections and then plug the remote start wiring into the third connector...

Still nothing for the Scion...

Quick question - does the remote that came with it work the door locks as well, or do you have to carry two remotes?

Thanks - madcap
