Default 4 wires going to tweeters?

I just removed the panel for the factory tweeter and noticed it has 4 wires going into it. Any idea why?

If its anything like the tC, the crossover is in the tweeter.

So is there really no way to run aftermarket components with the stock wiring? My amp won't be here for a few more days and I wanted to install my new components and just run them off the HU until then.

If you replace the whole speaker set (tweeters and mid) with a component set (one with tweeters and mid and crossover) then you can without a problem. The most important part is the crossover.

I figured this one out a while back. Read this thread:

If you stare at the wiring diagram long enough, you'll see how it's wired. Hope this helps. Good luck.
