Default Looking at buying an XB

I am think of selling my 2005 SRT-4 COMM. Edition and buying the XB, I just wanted to know if anyone is having any problems with the 2nd gen or is there any thing people dislike about the car? Thanks for all the help.

There aren't any problems per se. I haven't bought one yet but on my 2nd test drive I noticed that the car feels kinda wobbly over broken pavement with the stock springs. Other than that, there isn't much to dislike. I liked it better the 2nd test drive than I did the 1st.

I love mine. I drive a lot for work, and much of it is small country roads, and I have no problems.

I've had my BSP xB2 for close to a month now, and I absolutely LOVE it.

As of today I have had mine for 25 days. I have loved every bit of driving it.
I plan to get the front windows tinted soon and then maybe some NF210's to lower it a bit. No real plans for wheels at the moment. Trying to keep the finances down. I haven't had a car payment in six years so I'm learning to deal with one again. I plan on putting over 200,000 miles on my XB, if it will let me.

I'll have had mine for a year on June 27th, I love it.
Best car I have ever had, and I've had quite a few cars.

I will add my love for xB2. Had mine for about 8 weeks and 2200 miles. I wish there were more useful storage spaces in the front cabin (door map pockets, overhead console standard, etc) and variable intermittent wipers would have been nice but those are minor gripes about an otherwise awesome ride.

In this vehicle class there is simply no better value and you get Toyota reliability and resale. Its appearance is eye-catching and it stands out from the sea of generic-looking sedans and SUVs out there (if you like standing out from the crowd, that is... if you want to blend in, buy a Hyundai).

Personally I love my xB more than any car I've owned.

Sometimes after I've driven into work, I have to force myself to go inside because I often find myself lingering in the parking lot, staring at my xB with a big goofy smile on my face.

This is the best car ive ever owned. I have owned two Gen one XB's and now have had my Black sand XB2 for three months and have over 10,000 miles on it. Its a great road trip car. Steady at over 100 MPH. GREAT CAR Just add leather its makes the ride a whole lot nicer. I plan to have 50,000 miles on it by its first birthday

LOL!!!

I do the same thing!

My co-workers think I'm obsessed, well I am.

The xB2 is a great little car. Just know what you are buying. You are getting a very high quality budget vehicle that does NOT have all the bells and whisles. If you want that, get a Lexus.

While it is rather simple, it is also loads and loads of fun.

I got my xB on the 1st of june.. so far its a great car...

- its compact
- roomy inside
- easy driving - handles well on the road
- simple gauges
- GOOD on insurance.. I think they qualify it as a van.. cheaper the better huh...?

kcamo before you buy the xb. do not just take our words for it as why we love them. take one out a a bit of a drive. ask the dealership to let you drive your own route. find a road that had some turns to it. then go up and down that road a few times. second time you drive it i will bet you will love it. first time is more of ok this is a lust relationship.. second time you will be a bit more braver...lol then drive back to the dealership and pick a color...lol

after you own it. give youself time then start the modding...lol

Both points I totally agree with.

1) The gauges... I LOVE THEM! Most reviews I read complained about the center placement and the fact that they're all the same size. Personally I think the center placement is perfect and MUCH more natural than trying to peer behind the steering wheel. I'm tall, so a behind-the-wheel placement means that at any given time, depending on how I'm sitting, one or more parts of the cluster will be obstructed by the steering wheel. Not so in the xB. A quick glance at the center cluster and then my eyes are back on the road. And I like that they're all the same size... very spartan and utilitarian, reminds me of the cockpit of an airplane.

2) I was SHOCKED when I got my first insurance bill at how little of an increase my premiums were with a BRAND NEW CAR over my 7-year old Hyundai Elantra. Guess that "VAN" classification really helps!

rye, what were the premiums like?

i got a quote and they're pretty damn high if i buy it as a replacement. now if i do an add-on to my current car, then it's actually pretty decent...
