Default Can the xB have cruise control or not?

Ok check it... the wife and I are at the dealership closing the deal on my tC and while we're in the middle of the deal she decides then and there that her next car will be an xB. We're going to be a *TWO Scion* couple!

Ok, so we're going over what kind of options for hers (when back home, gonna wait a couple months to get hers, make sure we got the $ in place...) and in the scion magazine that I got at the dealer, it says cruise control not available on the xB. That would pretty much be a dealbreaker. I know we could get some aftermarket cruise control put on it but that would be a pain and might not work quite right either.

However, I've heard that for the xB they call it "speed control" and yes it is available as factory option. Ok, so I need some sort of consensus, can I get cruise control on the xB?

It may not be a dealer available option in you state MFB (texas). The website page shown is for dealers in the SE TOYOTA area (as he already said of course) - and cruise is a port installed option for SE TOYOTA. But all the same - even if it's not available at the DEALER - the kits are available all over the place, here ( I believe), eBay I know for sure...

Yeah I just looked at the build page for my local dealer and while they don't list "cruise control" they do have "Scion Speed Control" for $275. Judging from the tiny thumnail pic it is a regular cruise control by a different name.

Also I see that our delivery, processing, and handling is 20 bucks more.

Man, that was a wicked burn. I need some water to cool these flames...

Yeah we got luck down here in the SE as it was a factory or port installed option. I have it on mine and love it. I probably wouldn't of bought it if it didn't have it.

Texas has cruise control. I bought mine from Durant Scion in Weatherford and got the cruise installed.

My dealer wanted 350 for the cruise control and then another 300 for the install. So me being as cheap as I amtold them to stick it. Maybe I'll put it in later if I get brave.

SE Toyota uses a *ton* of aftermarket parts. The cruise control would be one of these.

There is a Toyota part number for it, it's the same part for the Echo. Could not find the number but know it exists, have you dealer look it up and don't take NO for an answer! LOL

Default Toyota xB Cruise Control

The Cruise is available for the xB. We sell them all the time at $216.12 and they are not an aftermarket item. They're made by the same company that makes all the others, they just haven't been made available to any dealers outside of South East Toyota yet.

Here's a link if you would like to take a look at our listing. The instructions are in the upper right section of the page so you can get an idea of the what it takes to put one in.

I just got cruise control in my car before taking a trip from texas to florida and it works great. It only took 30 min to install. (Of course it was done by someone who works with these cars all day long)
