Used Muffler Disposal / Recycling

I just replaced the muffler on my 2005 xB and was wondering where I can dispose of / recycle the old one. It is definitely shot, so no selling or giving away.

I live in the San Francisco East Bay area. Thanks!

Just take it to a local scrap metal facility. They'll take it and recycle it for you and you should get afew bucks for it.
