so i just got my tycs in the mail that i got from a person on ebay .. used... he didnt include the turn/brake/reverse sockets.. no big deal...

come to find out the stock ones dont fit ... where do i get ones that do fit .. are the TYCS supposed to come with their own .. also .. is there a special harness they are supposed to have or do you have to move the white circuit board thingy from the stock tails over to the tycs .. thanx

I bought new tails from ebay and they were complete.

I don't know how to transfer the stock board. Good luck.

I've gotten burned on ebay before too. Ouch!

 

so it turns out there is supposed to be a harness and i didnt get it

do you have a picture of what you got?
when i got mine from someone on here, it was just the tailight assembly, the stock sockets with the bulbs fit in them

 

i got the taillight assemblies... but i cant for the life of me get teh sockets to fit ... i even confirmed with scion that they are supposed to come with a harness

someone help me out i cant stand to see em just sit on my table

 

Hmm, I just unplugged my factory ones, and then bolted and plugged in the TYCs.

you guys aer talking about the actual SOCKETS right .. where the bulbs go in ?

cause i took out my stock taillight ... and tried to then put in the stock sockets for turn/brake/reverse and they dont even come close to fitting ...

can someone take a pic of the back of their tycs with the sockets in ?

just to clarify

im talking about the actual sockets that twist into the taillight ...

from reading the description of hte TYCS

you are supposed to get a harness with them ... one that twists into the tyc tails (the bulb holders) .. which then plugs into the cars harness.....

i didnt get that special harness

 

yes the tyc comes with a harnest
the left one is the stock the right one is tyc

does anyone know of any way to get it ?? .. i called scion and they said that they dont have a part number for the harness alone and that you have to buy the whole TYC kit

Since you bought it on eBay, contact the seller and request a refund.

Did the seller advertise that it was complete? If so, and you paid by PayPal, make a complaint if the seller doesn't complete the transaction. Then PayPal will refund your money and place a hold on the seller's account.

Have you tried contacting the seller?

so i just contacted TYC and talked with Jeff.. he is going to make some calls and see if he can locate an extra harness in the warehouse

as for the seller.. he is being less then helpful .. so i dont think i am going to get anywhere with that

Make the complaint w/ ebay, and if you used Paypal, make a cmplaint w/ them also.
