Default Tanabe Hyper Medalion Exhaust

Anyone have it installed on their xA or xB? I'm debating on getting either this or the RSR exhaust. I've had good experiences with Tanabe products, and love the style of their exhaust compared to others. But I'm worried if it might be too loud.

Tanabe Exhaust

Any advice is greatly appreciated :D Pics would be even better!

I had it on my xB. Its low, throaty and quiet. The ONLY reason why I changed, center exit exhaust.

I measured it at 78 dB at 3,500 rpm.

Lower, throatier, and slightly louder than stock. But not mnuch loudeer at all. In fact, spinning at 4k rpm on the freeway, I hear the air being sucked by the short ram, more than I ever hear the exhaust.

Not as loud as a Magnaflow, and way quieter than a canister like what is found on Honduh's. In fact, when I warm up the xB, it didn't rumble inside the passenger compartment, like the Magnaflow does now.

The Tanabe is really nice, and the only reason why I changed it out was because I went center exhaust. I had even thought about cutting off the piping and making it fit to do what I have now. But the muffler had an offset exit point and is slightly larger than the Magnaflow I'm using now.

Perfect description! Thanks squirrel :D

I've had one too many loud exhausts in my last few cars, (catback DTM, Dual borla) this time around I need something that won't set of 7 car alarms when I drive in a parking lot @_@

I want something that's very clean sounding and not too deep or throaty that it causes vibrations around the car. Seems like this will be just the right setup!

You are all welcome!

If you would have asked me at least two months ago, I could have made a sound clip or something.

Don't forget to get a new exhaust gasket when replacing the axleback.

Thanks

Kong, its OEM. Unfortunately can only be found right now at dealerships unless a shop buys it direct from them.
