Default The right Fit. Flush/ Tucked.

Okay, So I haven lurking for awhile, and I am getting ready to purchase a super white Xb soon. And I have choosen the rims and tires I want. I don't wanna spoil the surprise till I actually have the vehicle, so I am not telling what rims they are. Because I wanna make sure I get the right fit, I am planning on staggered set of 19's, 19 x 8, in the front and 19 x 9.5 in the back. I was hoping to go with a +40 offset, but need to know if they will fit flush or tucked, at that size or do I need different offsets for front and the back. And I am planning on dropping it on springs first then eventually to air ride of some kind later on. I am going with ksport or tein springs.

this sounds like a job for cionide

when you say you want to lower it on springs you mean coil overs by tein or ksport?
i think my rims are +38 offset and they are almost flush....
a +40 offset should be very flush but i think ud be able to tuck them with a rolled fender.

Well his will be different cause he is running some wide rims. If your are running the same size wheel and you are almost flush then his wont be flush. He will be tucking.

I thought I'd show you what it will look like, instead of just saying yay or nay. These fronts are 1/2" wider and the offsets are 2mm different, but NoLimitz' xB is running a set-up really close to what you are asking about. He has 19x8.5" fronts and 19x9.5" rears that are all +38 offset. He is dropped on Ksport coilovers. His tires are 235/35 front & 245/35 rear.

Ok, I wasn't sure how different the +40 was from the + 38 offset. I really like the look No Limitz is rolling with. The rims I am planning on getting don't come in 8.5 for the front but 8 inch wide in the front is good for me. But one other question, is a 265/30/19 tire too wide in the rear...?

I really don't want a stretched tire on the rear, with a 9.5 inch rim, I have seen some 265 on a 9 inch rim and it looks pretty square with the edge of the rim. I just put some 245/35/18 on a 18 X 8 wheel on my BMW and I love the way that looks. Before I was running 225/40/ 18 with falkens and hated it, but with nittos that size didn't look too bad, but I like the wider look of the 245's I have on it now.

One more thing I was thinking of putting on the TRD brake kit i wonder if the + 40 offset will clear them or not.

The TRD brakes clear the +48 offset of the TRD 19" wheels, so I would think it should be no problem at all with +40 offset.

Whether or not rubbing will occur depends on the offset of the wheels, the size of the tires, and how much you are lowered.

I don't think 9.5" wide will fit on the front w/o rubbing, unless it's a very low offset, with extremely stretched tires.

If you are looking for tire size recommendations, I need to know the offset of the wheels (both front & rear, if they have different offsets for the 8" and 9.5" wheels), and what you are lowered on or planning on.

Knowing the offset before buying wheels is generally very important. What kind of wheels are they (manufacturer & model), and who did you order them from? Maybe I can research the offset for you, if not, you'll want to call the company Monday and ask them.

The Londrina in 19x8 & 19.9.5 are each available with +20 or +40 offset. You need +40 on both, so I hope they got you the right ones.

For the difference in wheel widths you have, and the fact that you don't plan on a drop, I recommend 225/35-19 front tires, and 255/35-19 rear tires. This will keep the look where the tire is seated on the wheel lips similar in the front & rear, as well as filling out some of that huge tire/fender gap in the rear.
