Default so i wanna paint some things under the hood

would high heat paint hold up on the valve cover, cold side of turbo, or manifold?

i did my valve cover, and I didn't even use high heat paint

for the VC u dont need high temp paint, jus good prepping and painting and clearing and that should be good.

oh ok lol idk bout the exhaust manifold, for that ull really need sum high temp stuff. but i think it should hold up pretty well

yeah the manifold actually looks kinda cool, has like a purple tint to it from the heat. the cold side of the turbo is already starting to rust, and i polished the valve cover but black would look better.

i never thought of that exodus. whats the temp for the oven and how long? would that hold up better than the high heat paint?

It's such a moot discussion, but I think it has to do with the actual location of the turbo. Kind of like, Exhaust Manifold > Turbine > Downpipe > TBE or how the WRX has Headers (stock is considered a manifold) > Up-pipe > Turbine > Downpipe > TBE. Dunno...same ____ in the end lol.


To OP, no matter what you use on the exhaust manifold and turbine, it WILL begin to fade and chip.
