Default Introducing Skribbel Ink!

Hello ScionLifers! Many of you have probably crossed paths with me over the years that I've been here and if you haven't, you should consider yourselves lucky : p. My name is James, and I own a 2005 Flint Mica tC. The car has seen many changes over the last five years but only recently has it really become a statement of me and all the stuff that rattles around in my brain.

The hood that started it all.

DSC04846.jpg

What the heck is going on there you ask? That my friends, is a hood with a whole lot of Sharpie on it. I wanted to create something unique for my car that would garner a lot (and I do mean A LOT) of attention from everyone. From fellow car enthusiasts at shows to artists and even random folks at the gas station. After posting pictures of this hood here and on other forums and getting some good feedback, I decided to do my plastic engine cover as well.

DSC04884.jpg

Again, I received a good amount of positive feedback and some requests from fellow ScionLifers to do the same for them. What's the point of this? Well, after the urging of a few peeps here and from family and friends, I've decided to make my crazy ideas available to my fellow Scion enthusiasts. I will draw on your stuff! I am offering my services to customize your car parts. Everything is hand drawn by me with a Sharpies and paint pens.

I will do any plastic Scion engine cover and I'm working on getting a collection of engine covers for all models, but until then, I will need you to send me yours. Parts will be cleaned, prepped, painted, Skribbeled on and then clear coated. I will try to keep turnaround time as quick as possible, but you must remember that this is a custom service and inspiration can be a fickle mistress. Generally expect a two week delivery time from when I receive your part but it may be as long as a month. If I run into delays you will be notified by PM. For now, I will only be doing engine covers but commissioning another part is not out of the question. Feel free to ask about other pieces via PM.

Again, these are hand drawn by me and I have a specific style. I can incorporate ideas and themes you may have or you can let me lose to do my own thing and we can both hope that you are happy with the end result. Uniqueness is guaranteed, satisfaction...maybe.

The price for an engine cover is $115 if you send me yours and $145 if I use one of mine. When it is complete, I will send an invoice through PayPal. Once payment is received I will ship out.

~James aka Captainlaziness

I appreciate it, but after seeing your pic in the old gals and tCs thread I think I want you to be an invisible spokeswoman.

Just take pics of your cover and please leave yourself out. : p

how much are you charging? I would love a gold background like yours on my engine cover, also I think it would be tight to include Domo in there..you know like a little Domo chillaxing along the forest or something like that with mushrooms and stuff.

Has it gotten that bad that now you have to ***** yourself out on scion life to make it by? Come on people, James has to eat, that boy is skinny as a post, and he needs more liquid inspiration...

Anytime you're ready Joy. I'm excited to do yours, your idea of Kamikaze mushrooms sounds awesome and I already have a pretty good idea of how I would do that.

i don't know...do i really want to commission a job to someone named captainlaziness?

i might ship the cover there and when i ask if it is ready, he'll keep telling me he'll get around to it...

you should change your SN to captainquickandefficientandpromptservice or something more clever and compact than that.

Interesting. I can do that. I was wondering how long it would be before someone mentioned P.Bear.
