New Guy from Vegas!
Hi, I'm Franz, 22, and I drive a stock 07 BSP tC. I thought I'd hang around to learn stuff.
I got a few complaints about the car as of now; First is the handling, the car seem to be wobbly and feels like a full-sized tourer, it doesn't work with the type of body it has. I've also driven a new tC at the dealers with a TRD coilover and I find that way too stiff, I also tried an 09 tC recently and it has gold-colored springs straight from the dealer, and that's just worse than the stock, it look's good outside, but the car seem to float and bob when I shift rapidly. I'd really like a lower than-stock suspension that handles and feels like a well-kept E36 M3, to me it feels just right. I know it might be weird for me to compare it to a Nurburging-tuned car, but since you guys could tune I thought you might know how.
The next problem is the shifting, I've been driving mine for a couple of years now and it seems like there's some wasted effort on my shifting, it doesn't feel right at all. Is there like a fix for this without changing the transmission?
And last, but most important are my wheels! I was horrible at parallel parking and I get my wheels curbed all the time, luckily I got a friend to teach me the proper technique and I haven't curbed the wheels in a little over a year now. So I guess I could go with some sweet, expensive tuner wheels now. I look at Scion brochures and I'm love with the wheels they feature there. I've browsed around locally and I haven't found any decent rims yet. Can you guys give me a link or a reference on where to find the best rims? I live in Las Vegas, so there isn't much SoCal-Style tuners around. They seem to like Muscle and Rice around here. I haven't even found a tC here that looks half decent with a Nevada plate. They seem to be trashed if it has some performance parts and the drivers are *****. I'd love to make my tC look like it should from the factory, not some un-detailed Franken-tC with a cooler up-front and no silencer on the exhaust like what I see around here.
Anyway, thanks for reading my ranting intro.
