i know this is a repost but search is not showing anything for it, i know the celica gts rotors and pads work for the tc, but people were complaning about the rear pads not working, i was going to get the rotora slotted rotors but need to find what pads are best , i have noticed brake squeak and lately when backing a weird rubing/scraping, i cound do the work my self but stock sucks,

 

yea, i heard the rotors are the same, as well as the front pads, but that guy said the rears didnt fit. he also said the brake lines were the same tooo.

 

To be honest, most of us board members will never need bigger rotors, or vented, or slotted rotors. Get some great pads and you can tell the difference between night and day.
I have heard awesome things from Axxis Ultimate brake pads and especially Porterfield pads. I was going to waste my money on vented rotors on my mr2, but just went napa brand and am getting axxis brake pads. If many mr2 turbo's are using stock brakes but the axxis or porterfields, doesn't that tell you that the pads are the biggest factor? Keep in mind that the celica gt-s brakes are suppose to be on par with the mr2's.

 

does anyone know what the rear pads are if they are gts pads or something different, iam thinking about getting the axxis pads, need them quick i have gone throught the front already at 10,500 miles,

I'm also looking for a brake upgrade, but I'm thinking all I really need is new pads and maybe some dot 3 brake fluid. has anyone changed their pads on their tC yet? tell us what you think of them and what they are.

DE = Driver Education. It isn't racing because no timing is allowed, there is no scoring, and passing is controlled. This keeps it covered by insurance in most cases.

BTW, get some synthetic DOT 4 fluid if you are going to change your fluid. Valvoline synthetic is good and cheap. Ate Super Blue or Type 200 is also good, but not as easy to find.

 

Don't forget about Motul RBF600. None of the high performance stuff is really found in places such as Autozone or Kragen. Try us or any other brake company. I'm sure you will be able to find the ATE super blue, or type 200 with ease.
