I just finished machining a couple of Short Throw Shifter's for the xA/xB first gen. These fit under the hood, so they do not change any hardware in the console. They are a true 54% reduction. Installs in 15 minute if you have to remove and reinstall the stock air box which is located above the lever extending out of your transmission. Install time is less if you have a cold air intake. They are made of 7075-T6 aluminum which, pound per pound, is stronger than steel. I'm located near Disneyland, SoCal. will these work in conjunction with a pre-existing short throw shifter rod installed in the console?

I have a single underhood Short Throw Shifter that will work with the xA, xB1, xB2, TC, Corolla 2.4, and the Matrix. Because I designed and manufactured all the underhood STS's for TRD, I was able to come up with a common design for all the above models resulting in a true 54% throw reduction. I have another STS that will work with the xD and Yaris also with a true 54% throw reduction.

 

The Axxtion STS can work in conjunction with a console STS. I actually installed one in a 2005 TC that already had a console STS so the shifts were extremely short. Front to Back movement is shorter than the Side To Side. This new Axxtion STS is a true 54% reduction. As an example, lets say stock front to back shift distance is 10".


Axxtion STS.............................................10" x 54% reduction = 4.6"

Your current STS......................................10" x 30% reduction = 7"

Your current STS and Axxtion STS................7" x 54% reduction = 3.2"

I would be very interested in this once they have been test fitted and put into production. Keep us updated.

i gave a couple of the Axxtion STS's away to members here for evaluation. They liked them and started a couple of threads on this forum with pictures and with descriptions of what they thought. The mods erased them and said i have to be a sponsor. i pm'd a mod to get a price for a sponsorship but i haven't gotten a response from them and heck, i haven't sold any either.
