is it me or is this identical to the K&N intake? beside the filter, looks pretty legit though for 75$

need some input

Edit: ok so use this for anything related to raceland performance parts.

ie: intake, exhasut, headers/s-pipe.

Don't buy eBay, fitment is usually off on most parts.

 

it is not ebay, it is the companies that sell on ebay. I have bought plenty of stuff on ebay including my APT fogs and they fit perfect.

That is made by raceland who makes the coilovers for $280. I think someone on here said they had it and it fit fine.

also an intake that fits up to 06' will fit a 07' right? i don't think there's a big difference in the fitment.

 

^^^also apt supplies for vrd they are the same thing just cheaper on ebay. i have them too ^_^

the fittment would be the same but they changed the MAF sensor size on the 07-up so it might not work for an 06

what you think overall of this intake?

 

basically all intakes are the samething, bent piping.the only diffrence performance wise would be the filter.

i think if raceland makes parts that people like(coils) than im sure the intake will be good. besides for that price its a deal for a 07+ intake.


on the page they say they have sold 3 so far. you could message those buyers and ask how the fitment and quality was.

It should be fine as long as it is 2.5" where the MAF sensor is and I emailed them like 2 weeks to find out what size the piping was and they said it is 2.5". I am thing about getting one too because i am not going to spend 300 on a couple pieces of pipe.

when you get your intake post if it throws a CEL. i had the bomz one from ebay and i got a CEL no matter what i did. i have an 08 tc.

 

probably because the piping was bigger than 2.5", if it is bigger you will get an CEL on the 07-up

 

i kept throwing codes left and right on mine and mine was a 06. not sure the reason mine was doing. it but it was a ebay intake not bomz but somthing else. then i order the bomz intake from customtc.com and i havent had a issue at all. but i have a friend that has the raceland one installed. and he loves it. fitment must not have been bad cause it didnt take him long to get it installed.

probably depends on what it is, but I wouldnt worry about that until the time comes.

Just make sure to disconnect the battery, and let it idle for alittle while and drive slow after installing it so the ECU can relearn.

 

one thing also is make sure you handle the maf sensor with care. i bought a used fujita for my other 07 tc from a member on here. he said that on humid rainy days he would throw a cel. he had all his splash guards in place.


when i installed it on the car i was carefull and didnt touch the sensor part. when i put it on the intake i made sure not to let it touch any piping and secured it. reconnected the battery and 2 months later i never got a cel, even when driving in wet,snowy weather.
