I have been looking at these for awhile and was wondering if or how it would affect the air flow to my short ram injen intake....i would think it wouldnt affect much because its not getting much air flow as it is for sitting on top.

any help/input would be appreciated
It will have 0% effect of the intake or airflow to it
It's good for putting your drink/tools on. It'll make your thermometer (on the hvac panel) readings a little wonky. You can draw pretty pictures on it.
It'll also look cleaner if you've got an air horn setup where the stock horns are.
BS - slap some stickers on it...huge power right there
now thats what im talking about! ...i just want to cover mine up so i get rid of that gap in between.

It actually does make a slight difference. Think import tuner or Super Street did the fact or fiction test. Radiator diversion panels do slightly reduce temperatures, so they ruled the study fact.

Minimal difference but if you think about it, how much difference would you expect from a panel? Im pretty sure it would make more difference if your racing your ride but not much from daily driving. His original question pertained to the short ram. Radiator diversion panels have no direct effect on intakes, since it is only for the radiator.

This is correct in every sentence.
Radiator diversion plates don't have any effect on the intake of air into the engine. If you pop your hood you can see that there are rubber seals that block airflow (and water) from moving into the engine bay from the front anyway. The radiator diversion panel is placed before that seal so it's moot.
I have a panel, which doesn't even fit all that well and the only time I noticed any effect was when I was at the big track. I raced the car in 3-4 sessions across an 8 hour day at the road-course and the temps never broke over 186-188 with the panel installed. The time I was at the track before the panel went in I was running about 189-192 consistently.
Not a huge difference, but enough that it can be considered worthwhile for the ~$20 it should cost.

This is the real benefit of the panel. I've got so many moisture rings from putting my cold beers on it while I work.

Whoa McGee, you shortchanged me by 2 (who the heck is kuo32?).
There's always something to learn, even in a page of smarmy responses (self included). It all depends on your application. For the majority of tC owners, it's good for beers and drawings. For the guys at the track it might be enough to make a real difference in time.
Every time someone says "diversion" I think of Legolas's dumbass from Lord of the Rings
Aragorn: "Draw out Sauron's armies, empty His lands. Then we gather our full strength and march on the Black Gate. We can give Frodo his chance if we keep Sauron's Eye fixed upon us!"
I like mine (Doc Iso) because it cleans up the look under the hood. No ugly hood latch/horn/support ugliness to look at anymore. The beer holder is a plus but can also be used for tools! (like Dixie cups full of beer)
