Default **Auto trans Vibration**

Does anyone have a vibration with your auto trans when you're idling at a stop light? Is there any fixes for this problem? TSB?? I notice it has gotten worse since I've had my car.

Seems to me like its only your xB. Assuming you have an 05 like i do, i doubt there would be a TSB for this (because many people i know with auto have not experienced this).

Hope this helps

Every slushbox I've ever driven is like this. My wife's old Camry was like that. My Dodge truck was. My wife's Pilot is. My father-in-law's Lexus is like this too. I have a habit of putting the car in neutral when the vibration starts. Some people don't notice it (my wife doesn't, usually) but I do. It drives me nuts. That's one of the main reasons both of my cars are manual.

Check the vacuum switching valve (brass-plated metal thing hooked on the top of the airbox). The mounting clip loosens up and it rattles against the airbox. I had exactly the same symptoms and the rattle went away completely after I scrunched the clip back down.

I would assume "vibration" and "rattle" are two different things. Vibration is felt by touch. Rattle is heard. Is the car vibrating or are you hearing a rattle?
