Default MagnaFlow Cat-back for the xB

Hey guys, just want to give you guys some more info on our new cat-back system for the xB. It will be offered in a full stainless finish, full 2.25" piping, resonator, and muffler. We had it on the dyno on a otherwise stock xB and had a gain of 5hp and 7 ft. lbs. of torque. I will have three different sound clips of a stand still rev, a launch and a fly by. Below I also included some images of how the kit looks once installed. Comments welcome !

*sorry for the size of the pics, but here you are... enjoy!

Since we don't sell direct, the pricing will really be up to the dealer, but average price should be right around $400. These parts are available now, and we will be out there on Saturday with some pieces on display. As for the sound clips, those will be up by days end.

It's an awesome system. I was going to post pics of it until I found this thread. I got mine Friday afternoon and installed it Friday night.

Here is a shot of the tip.

See the thing is i went to magnaflow.com and the exhaust sounds like a rice rocket to me at least. But the plus is that it's a full cat back system. Just not that sound.

Are you kidding? You must of mistaken it for a 2 chamber flowmaster. The exhaust has a continuous deep tone and attenutates on cruising RPMs (3000-4000), unlike some exhaust were idle is deep and as RPMS climb it gets raspy.

It has the same similarities as my Tanabe on my V6 Accord. Now that's saying a lot since 4 cyl. tend to be more raspy.

Nice looking setup. Just listened to the sound clips on MagnaFlow.com and it seemed really loud! Not sure if it was the sound relfecting off the buildings, or what. I like the performance numbers, but it seemed a bit too loud for my taste. For those of you who have it installed on your xB's, does it really sound that loud, or are the sound clips not good quality???

It could also be my sound card on my computer but, from what i heard it sounded good at idle but up at 4k and up it sounded like a lawn mower. Oh well I have a magnaflow muffler on my other car and i love it so i can't diss on magnaflow, but the way it sounds doesn't appeal to me, from what i heard. Who knows in person it could sound sick! Computers are bad to tell what somethings supposed to sound like.

For those of you that have not gone to the site, here is a link to the soind clips... enjoy!
http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/import.htm

*the reason that the system may sound a little off is due to the fact that we really don't have the greatest "open" space to do the clips and we are somewhat stuck between buildings, these are done to give you a general idea of how the system sounds.

Yes, I do, as a matter of fact he sits right by me. Anyways, we did receive the system in a little early and they're ready to move. I'm hoping to add some more images for you guys as soon as I get a chance.

you should click on the Ford Focus clips. You can play them both at the same time, it sounds cool...

BTW...Those are cool sound bites, it seems like it's echoing off the buildings.
