There's a billion posts on this, do a search.

We had one in the xB I drove for work, it was a blast. We actually got it about 2 months before the actual release of the s/c and they did the install and everything.

If we had to pay $3000 for it and if I had to pay with my money instead of my boss' I wouldn't have sprung for it. Power gains aren't huge. More of a novelty than anything...don't expect to make your xB a fast car unless you're willing to do some serious work on your internals. Can only safely run about 6 pounds of boost.

Congrats on your new car. I love my xB, most fun i've had with a car for years.

The Blitz s/c kit is neat. The electronic clutch that controls the boost is pretty cool, and I have had no complaints with ours. It's not disappointing because I'm getting what I expect out of it.

Compared to a boosted VW, the xB is super slow. With forced induction, the xB is just plain slow. It's faster than stock, it's fun to drive, but don't expect a corvette killer.

If you know that going into it and you have the $3000 to burn, I say go for it! You'll have one of few boosted xB's, that's for sure.

well i have some money to burn but i'am going to take things slow i have to start on the rims and tires first.then the engine and ground effects.work and progress !

Those "performance chips" you buy off ebay for $30 are a waste of money and bad for your car. You can buy an identical little resister from Radio Shack for like $1. Don't bother.

The Blitz SC will show noticeable gains in torque, but the pulley system eats up whatever hp you would have gained.

yes, but its really, really, really.......really tricky to do...lol (plus, the motors don't seem to like that much boost)

most people that have the PE prolly didn't try the Blitz...and vise versa

That's what I was thinking...
How could adding the pulley to drive the s/c negate ALL the hp you'd gain from forcing extra air in? If you're trying to run 1 pound of boost, I could see that. But at 6psi you've definately surpassed the drag you've added.

BTW, roots type blowers are cool.
