I believe I remember someone posting a while back, can't remember who, that when the fuel light comes on you have about 1.5 gallons left in the tank.

it has to be more then 1.5 gallons.
when the light comes on, i go about 40-50 miles before i fill up and even then i only am able to put in around 10.5 gallons.
so i still have around 45 miles left when i fuel up, plus the 45 driven with the light on, so my guess is there are about 3 gallons left when the light comes on.

Actually, if you knew how to use the search feature correctly, you could have put in "miles AND tank" and gotten a whopping 23 results! Yes, I know it's hard to not be lazy, but look on the bright side, it's also MUCh quicker.

There's probably gonna be a lot of people asking old questions on here because the cars just came out nationally- so what? Its not going to kill anyone to re-answer old questions or to not answer at all. There's no need to be a dick to people cuz they don't use the search function.

welcome to any forum, man... the vererans get really tired of answering old questions, and the n00bs naturally ask the old questions. its a vicious cycle.

that's one thing i never liked about forums..... if we could get a good FAQ secion, that'd be great. not like a few stickies here and there that will disappear after a few months, but an actual article written with a lot of frequently asked questions, that'd help.

http://www.sentra.org is a great example.

Gas prices out here are nuts. I went back to the midwest a few months ago and was shocked at how cheap it was.

there is no reason to jump all over new people. just post the searches you find. being part of a messageboard is dealing with the questions asked a million times.

there is nothing to worry about when your fuel light comes on, most companies make it so you can go atleast another 40+ miles when the light comes on. for example i was about 30 miles from my house one day in my s10 and had NO money when my light came on i got all the way home parked and the next day went another ten miles to the bank and to the gas station with no problems. most cars will do that.

Why waste time searching when someone can just quickly answer the question. I you don't want to answer the question then don't even bother replying. with your dumb comments trekkie.
