Question about the TRD brake pad and break-in (bed-in) procedure ?

As the title said, I'm having the question about the TRD brake pad break-in procedure. Is that really necessary to do that or you have to do it after you installed the brake pad ? I can not find any safety place or legal place to do it. Or anyone can suggest any safety or legal places to do the break-in in OKC ? Sigh...This is my first time to install the brake pad. Sorry for my silly question. Thanks !!

Did you install rotors as well or just pads? Your pads aren't going to fly off the car when you engage them just because you didn't bed them in. But if you want to get maximum potential out of them, do it and do it right.

If you're putting new pads on old rotors, bed them in a couple of times. Your old rotors have a wear pattern on them from however many miles you've driven on them, your new pads don't. You need the two to 'mate'.

My advice, explore. Every town in America has a road for a handful of accel's and hard stops. Second, do it when there's no traffic (3 or 4am). I would have no problem explaining to a cop what I was doing.
