Default Yakima Roof Rack Scratch Paint?

Will the yakima roof rack scratch up my paint? Anyone with any experiences with this?

Thanks

I didn't scratch my paint at all, but it did start to kill the weather stripping at the door where it touches the q clips. I took it off for that reason.

I ahve the rubber pads for the Qtower feet. I guess I was worried about he qclips rubbing. I was thinking about putting some pieces of old bike tire tube between it to make a cushion against where it contacts the car.
