Im a recent buyer of an XB2. I love the car, but i just wish it was quicker. I had thoughts about turbo charging or supercharging my ride, but i dont want to dump thousands of dollars into it... and I really am a clueless virgin when it comes to chargers. My question is, Would there be an easy way and a cheap way to supercharge or turbocharge my engine, the right way?
I dont mind spendin a little money, i just dont want in over my head...but bottom line is that i want it to be fast.
Much depends on your defintions of "a little money" and "fast". If by "a little money" you mean $4000-5000 and by "fast" you mean able to keep up with stock Mazda Speed3s and Cobalt SS, then yes you can do it reliably. Faster costs more.
Check out some of the build threads in here and call Descendant Racing to learn more but if you aren't starting with a budget of at least $4000, you shouldn't bother starting.
