Default Scion tC coilovers

Hello all

First thread on this forum

I'm getting my brand new tC2 next week, and I'm already shopping for coilovers.

Manufacturers' websites claim that their models are available for 2004+ tC's...has anyone confirmed if 1st gen c/o will fit on a 2nd gen?

Thank you!

doesn't fit 1G coils. only coils right now are tein basic and tein ss-p. waiting on stance and other manufacturers. check the fortune auto 500 thread for a potential pre-order group buy

These specs are for the Super Street Damper with pillowball upper mounts

Front adjustable: -1.02 to -2.28 inches

Rear adjustable: -1.18 to -2.6 inches

Link:

Tein Specs 2011 Scion tC

I'm thinking about getting these myself. The TRD Lowering Springs still leave a lot of wheel gap.

^ If you have extra TRD springs you're looking to get rid of... Not a big fan of my H-techs, but too cheap to throw down another $200 for a 3rd set of springs

Some people have S-Techs on here. You should check out their tC's. They look great. I forget who, but I'm sure they have pics up. If I wasn't hellbent on getting the SS-p's, I'd go with the S-Techs.

Scionpro also offered to develop coilovers for the tC2. I didn't post earlier because I didn't want to compete with greenbean24's thread, but since it hasn't really taken off, I'll put this here. It's a pretty standard development deal, $1150 for the springs (shipped), 10 people paid up front. 0.5" - 3" drop, camber adjustable, same manufacturer as C8 Sport. I honestly don't know anything about coilovers, but that's what they passed on to me.

It would be something like this:

^I think he was just trying to show an example of scionpro's coils so someone could contact scionpro about developing one for the tC2...

S-techs are at like 1.5 inch drop, and my tC2 looks about as low as that one... Which is the reason why I am not purchasing the Basics I originally planned to do. I would rather wait for something that offered more low...

^ the tein basic and ssp both have same amount of drop that zeroeyequeue stated. i believe wellesley was referencing the pictures posted on tein's website.
