^^this.. and if you are worried about getting pulled over at night for tint, 35 and 20 looks the same at night. Might as well go darker if it is illegal both ways.

I have 20 everywhere except the front windshield, sometimes I have to roll the windows down if there are absolutely no lights anywhere, but usually I can see pretty well at night.

^^ same with all they above, have 20% all around except front, don't really need the windows down, usually some type of light outside to help

A lot of this depends on your own eye sight also. I have 25% all around, and at night sometimes it can be a real pain to see. Other times its easy.

I've seen 20% in action at night and it is uncomfortably dark -- I think 25% is the lowest I'd go, and in fact that's when I plan on doing in a few days. It'll be a bit darker at night than I'd like it to be, but just perfect during the day. Not sure what I'll ask the guy to do about my moon-roof, I really want that a bit darker than it comes stock, but that might increase the risk of the moon-roof exploding, some people think. :-/

In hindsight and with experience, I think even 25% is a bit dark and depressing. If I were to do it over again, I'd go 35%.

I say atleast 25% because 20% can make it a little hard to see at times

I foolishly put 5% on my sides and rears, and have had them that way for a good year and a half now. At night it's a bit of a pain in the ___ (I have to roll down my windows to reverse, which sucks in the cold), but during the day it's very nice. I did my girlfriends in 20% though, and she has no problems at night. I would recommend 20% for anyone, it's a nice tint level.

20% is easy to see out if night.. I have 5% double layered with 15% on all sides and rear window and 40% on windshield. I have a trouble backing up at night but I like how dark it is in the day time

Did 35% all around (only 8" eyelid on front) on the tC and really liked the "even" lighting since 35% is a close match to the factory roof.

Before the tC I had a Black GTP coupe and did 20% rear and rear quarters with 35% in front (metallized tint). Looked dark during the day, didn't get me pulled over (but once) in 8 years, and no visibility issues at night. You couldn't tell the fronts were much lighter by color, but you could just barely see an outline of the driver. I think and as long as you stay withing one "step" of shade %, it won't be weird.

I find 35% on the front doors is just enough to get kill the effect from truck lights in your eyes when it reflect off the side mirrors.

I have 5% on my moonroof. Been that way since day 2 of me owning the vehicle. Why would that make it explode?? I would really like someones insight on that? If a super thin film on a piece of glass is the straw that breaks the camels back then there is no reason that the moonroof would have ever passed and been legal to mass produce. The glass is already black so it already absorbes heat. The tint actually stops UV rays it doesn't absorb any more heat though... Yes I do tint professionally and hate when this gets brought up. The glass on the roof is tempered. The only way you would be able to explode that glass from heat would be to super heat ONE small area of the glass to the point it expands only that area and not the entire glass till it can't handle it anymore. If you heat and cool the entire area at the same rate you shouldn't have any issues. Now maybe in arizona where the temps get WAY up there you might be able to convince me of this but that would still be hard to believe.

I would like to know if anyone out there has had their moonroof spontaneously cumbust on them just from putting some tint on?

my previous car i had 35 percent on the front windows and got pulled over for it. ive had 5 percent on the rears without issue on all my cars. visibility is tough at night, but it prevent anyone from seeing into the trunk.. 20 percent is a nice compromise between form and function. still able to see out of it and plenty dark to cut down on hids behind you while still looking good.

the moonrooof shouldnt have any issue at all with the tint. i dont see how it could even be a problem...

Took mine to get tinted a while back, and I told them to tint it as dark as legally possible, lol.

Got pulled over by a cop a few months later... guess what? Tints are too dark, lol.

35 is fine in front and rear. but if you don't have a rear backup camera while having super dark tints in the rear good luck. i have 20 in rear and it's not bad. but wouldn't recommend for front
