Hey guys, well what a day had to cover for a no show at work, had to stay late, then found that my car had been keyed when i got out to the parking lot, initially i thought the scratch had gone down to the metal, but it looks like its only down to the primer which is hard to see on a cement so my question is has anyone had this type of situation before? if so do i have to get the panel repainted? can it be salvaged without spending an arm and a leg at a body shop?
I'm fixing mine right now... I got some touchup paint and applied it on with the included brush, then I scraped off the excess with a razorblade...I sanded off the excess with 400 grit paper...it looks like I will have to do that 2 more times to fill the scratch. I also got some 600 grit paper.
Well i gotta quote last friday from a decent body shop and its gonna be around $450 for the repair but this guy also guarantee's his work so ot too bad, but still thats dough that should be going into what i want it to go into on or in the car, lol
Wind took my door a week or so after i got it and threw it into my buddies car. Gots a little dent on the edge of it. Not too noticable unless you're really looking.... but still ... FML.
Yeah... $450 is a lot of 'wanted' item money. Sorry to hear man.
